ME2 Influenced Environment

This was an attempt to quickly model out a room in 3 days and get it lit as a first pass. My main intentions are to use this to explore various rendering techniques along side architectural shader studies in Mental ray and iRay. The room was influenced form a concept I saw at my time at BioWare. The design may have varied a bit from what I remember. Wow, wow, and more wows. Just coming from your post at Polycount. Your stuff is sick! Really liking this piece. I’ve always wanted to do something with Mass Effect, especially cinematic quality. It will be nice to see the architectural shaders (so much fun).

Your work is F**king brilliant man 🙂 all of it. Nice bit of inspiration for me, I was wondering, do you make everything in high poly first then create the low poly over the top and bake it ?

Yeah that is the norm for me when it comes to custom assets. Alot of times I do just low poly and use texture sets to speed things along or just be more efficient. But I do prefer to make a high poly then a low on top of it.
