During my time at Epic Games I had the honor working alongside some of the most talented artists in the industry. I was responsible for creating environmental assets and props, high res to low res modeling, texturing, and some mesh detailing in the Prison Level. It was here where I started my career in the Game Development Industry and learned a ton of next gen pipeline techniques. I was challenged everyday and absorbed as much as possible from the team around me. Especially from artists such as Chris Perna, Michael Buck, Bill Green, Kevin Lanning, Pete Hayes, and Josh Jay to name a few. It was here where I learned the true meaning of a team and "going sick with it!". Click any of the 3 images above to view samples of the work I did with the Gears of War team at Epic Games.
Gears of War sold over three million copies in just ten weeks and was the fastest-selling video game of 2006 as well as the second-most played game over Xbox Live during 2007. It currently stands as the 5th best selling Xbox 360 game of all time. The game has since sold over five million copies by September 2008. The game was well received by critics, who praised its gameplay and detailed visuals, and it won several "Game of the Year" awards in 2006. The success of the game has led to the development of the Gears of War franchise, including the 2008 sequel Gears of War 2 and its follow-up, Gears of War 3. Gears of War still holds strong with a 94 metascore rating since its release in November 7th, 2006. The franchise has since broken its One Billion Dollar Barrier.
